Dyed stone beige double sheepskin wool rug made in New Zealand. This rug uses two whole sheepskins that are sewn together to form a long rug, from expertly matched New Zealand sheepskins.

Average double sheepskin rug dimensions 60cm x 180cm. Wool pile height is a minimum of 5cm (2”). Natural New Zealand sheepskin rugs are soft and fluffy.

Usually made to order allow 1-2 weeks. We do our best to match two skins but you may see a faint join line with this colour. Subject to availability of stone sheepskins.

Protect this dyed sheepskin colour from direct or bright reflected UV sunlight or fading may occur.

They are perfect for a bedroom down the side of the bed. Imagine stepping out of bed onto these soft warm rugs. And they can also be used in a hallway or in front of a fireplace to great effect.

Although these rugs are predominantly used on the floor as luxurious coverings, they can also be used as a sofa throw, on beds, or draped over any type of chair. They are particularly good in armchairs or across the seat of a sofa in the winter.

Protect this dyed stone sheepskin from harsh direct sunlight to increase lifespan and reduce fading.

Your carefully selected sheepskin may have been tightly packaged for the journey home and so the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibers are very resilient and will bounce back to their original springy appearance.

A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool. Any fold marks from packaging will disappear once the skin has been removed from the package for several days.

We recommend that you dry-clean a dyed sheepskin rug to preserve the dye colour. Colours may run or change if you wash a sheepskin.

Brushing
After washing, the wool may revert back to its natural curly state. You can help restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry. A fine wire brush or sheepskin carding brush.
