Single dyed chocolate brown sheepskin wool rug made in New Zealand. This wool rug is a single whole New Zealand sheepskin rug.

Average dimensions 60cm x 105cm. Wool pile height is a minimum of 5cm (2”). New Zealand sheepskin rugs are very high quality.

Protect this colour from direct or bright reflected UV sunlight or fading may occur.

Sheepskin rugs are perfect as a soft throw over a chair or sofa, or at the end of a bed. And you can also display them on an ottoman. Or sheepskins can also be used in a hallway or in front of a fireplace to great effect.

Although these dyed chocolate brown sheep skins are predominantly used on the floor as a floor coverings, they can also be used as a sofa throw, on beds, or draped over any type of seat.

Your carefully selected Sheepskin may have been tightly packaged for the journey home and so the wool may appear flattened. Wool fibers are very resilient and will bounce back to their original springy appearance.

A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool. Any fold marks from packaging will disappear once the skin has been removed from the package for several days.

We recommend that you dry-clean a dyed sheepskin rug to preserve the dye colour. Colours may run or change if you wash a sheepskin.

For full sheepskin washing instructions with photos please read our article.

Brushing
After washing, the wool may revert back to its natural curly state. You can help restore the fluffy appearance by brushing the wool while it is wet and again when it is dry. A fine wire brush or sheepskin carding brush.
